Policies and Procedures

Attendance Policy:

Dance is a learning progression and regular attendance is essential to a student's progress. Missing class means missing important technique work and choreography. Please call or email the studio if your child is going to miss class. If your child has to miss class due to illness, a video of the missed class will be provided for participation at the dancers earliest convenience. This can only be done if the studio is properly notified.

Class Cancelation Policy:

We do our very best to avoid canceling classes but occasionally things happen out of our control. In the event of a class cancelation we will do our best to notify parents as soon as possible. Classes that are canceled will be made up before the end of the dance season. ALDA does not follow the FCPS schedule.  Classes will be held even if school is closed. Please see the Holiday Schedule below for days observed by ALDA. In the case of inclement weather, an email will be sent out to all parents and a notification will be posted on social media. For times during extreme inclement weather and multiple days in a month are expected to be cancelled, additional plans will be made to make up the missed classes.

Class Withdrawal:

An official email must be sent to the A-List Dance Academy by the 27th of the month in order to make the necessary changes for the following month. If the email is received after the 27th full tuition will be charged for the dropped class(es) for the following month.
