Policies and Procedures
Attendance Policy
Dance is a learning progression, and regular attendance is essential for student growth and success. Each class builds technique, strength, and choreography that cannot be duplicated outside of the studio.
If a dancer will be absent, parents must notify the studio by phone or email prior to class. If a dancer misses class due to illness and the studio has been properly notified, a class video may be provided so the dancer can review material and stay up to date at their earliest convenience.
Make-up classes may be offered at the discretion of the instructor.
Class Cancellation Policy
A-List Dance Academy makes every effort to avoid canceling classes; however, occasionally circumstances beyond our control may require cancellations.
-
Parents will be notified as soon as possible in the event of a cancellation.
-
All canceled classes will be made up before the end of the dance season.
-
A-List Dance Academy does not follow the FCPS school schedule. Classes will still be held when schools are closed, unless otherwise announced by the studio.
-
Please refer to the official Holiday Schedule for studio closures.
Inclement Weather Policy
In the event of inclement weather, families will be notified via email and social media. If multiple cancellations occur within a short period of time, additional make-up options may be scheduled as needed.
Class Withdrawal Policy
To withdraw from a class, an official email must be sent to A-List Dance Academy by the 27th of the month in order for changes to take effect the following month.
-
Emails received after the 27th will result in full tuition being charged for the following month.
-
Failure to attend class does not constitute withdrawal.
-
It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure withdrawal requests are submitted on time.
Financial & Refund Policy
All accounts must remain in good standing in order for dancers to participate in classes, rehearsals, performances, and events.
-
Tuition, registration fees, costumes, competition fees, private lessons, and all other studio-related charges are non-refundable.
-
A-List Dance Academy does not issue refunds for any payments made, regardless of attendance, withdrawal, or dismissal.
-
Late or unpaid balances may result in suspension from classes, rehearsals, and performances until the account is brought current.
-
Returned payments may result in additional fees.
-
Families are responsible for all charges incurred while enrolled.
