Dance Attire for Classes
Ballet with Miss Abigail:
Theatrical pink seamed tights, ballet skirt is optional. NO SHORTS, NO LEGGINGS, NO LOOSE CLOTHING. Hair must be in a clean bun before class begins.
Level 4: Burgundy leotard
Level 5: Black leotard
Level 6: Any color leotard
Kindergarten, Level 1, & Level 2 classes:
All dancers must wear leotard, tights, shorts, leggings, fitted tank top, etc. Hair must be secured in a high pony tail or bun before class begins. For Ballet class, dancers need a leotard and tights.
Elite Competition Classes:
All dancers must wear leotard, shorts, leggings, crop top, or fitted tank top to all classes. No baggy clothes, except for hip hop classes. Dancers will be asked to wear all black the last week of every month.
Costumes for recreational classes
Costumes will vary depending on the dance/selection and will range from $55 to $80 per costume. Payment for costumes will be due by January 15th for all of our Kindergarten, Level 1, and Level 2 classes as well as our Ballet 3, 4, 5, & 6 classes.
Dance Shoes
Kindergarten Classes:
Ballet/Tap - 1. Ballet - Capezio Lily Ballet Slipper
2. Tap - So Danca Velcro Mary Jane in black
Hip Hop - Black & White high top converses. These can be purchased anywhere.
Level 1, 2, & 3 Classes:
Ballet/Tap - 1. Ballet - Capezio Lily Ballet Slipper
2. Tap - So Danca Junior Tyette Tap Shoe (black)
Musical Theater - Bloch Pulse Jazz shoe (black)
Clogging - *Bloch Tap Flex Leather Tap in black* Clogging Buck Taps would also need to be purchased. (if you already have the Steven Stompers, you do not have to purchase these) These can also be purchased, if in stock, at Carolina Connection.
Hip Hop - Black & White high top converses. These can be purchased anywhere.
Jazz/Acro/Lyrical:
1. Jazz/Acro - Bloch Pulse Jazz shoe (black) *Same as above for Musical Theater*
2. Lyrical - Canvas half sole shoe
Ballet 2/3 - Pro 1c in ballet pink
Irish Tap - Capezio Lace Up (black)
Jazz/Tap 2/3 - 1. Jazz Shoe - Bloch Pulse Jazz shoe (black) *Same as above for Musical Theater*
2. Tap Shoe - Capezio Lace Up (black) *Same as above for Irish Tap*
Ballet & Pointe:
Ballet 4, 5, & 6 - Pro 1c in ballet pink
Pointe - Teacher approval. Wear ballet shoes to class.
Petite & Junior Elite Teams:
Jazz - Bloch Pulse Jazz shoe (color depends on costume)
Tap - Block Tap Flex (black)
Clogging - *Bloch Tap Flex Leather Tap in black* Clogging Buck Taps would also need to be purchased. (if you already have the Steven Stompers, you do not have to purchase these) These can also be purchased, if in stock, at Carolina Connection.
Hip Hop - Will depend on the dance. Wear tennis shoes to class until your teacher has decided.
Teen & Senior Elite Teams:
Jazz - Bloch Pulse Jazz shoe (color depends on costume)
Contemporary - will depend on the dance. You can wear paws or tan half sole shoes to class.
Tap - Block Respect Tap shoe (black)
Clogging - *Bloch Tap Flex Leather Tap in black* Clogging Buck Taps would also need to be purchased. (if you already have the Steven Stompers, you do not have to purchase these) These can also be purchased, if in stock, at Carolina Connection.
Musical Theater - Will depend on the dance. You can wear socks, jazz shoes, or tennis shoes to class until your teacher has decided.
Irish Tap - Ultra Flexi Hard Shoe
Hip Hop - Will depend on dance. Wear tennis shoes to class.
Adult Classes:
Hip Hop - wear any type of tennis shoe
Clogging - any type of black clogging shoe
